In a move set to transform Nigeria’s technology landscape, The Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency ( NASRDA) Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has emphasized the need to integrate the private sector into the country’s space initiatives.
He said this during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NASRDA and Abaa Technology and Solutions at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Dr Adepoju stated that this collaboration aims to boost innovation, funding, and technological growth in the space industry, which will mark a significant step in advancing the country’s digital economy.
While outlining his three-point agenda which includes partnering with the private sector, the Director General stated that Abaa Technology and Solutions will play a vital role in actualizing this agenda while emphasizing the need for swift implementation of the MoU and tangible results.
He applauded the company’s founder for his ambitious vision and great achievements, which he said influenced the decision to partner with Abaa Technology and Solutions.
The NASRDA boss who pledged commitment of the Agency to the partnership , further added that the MOU would not be just a symbolic gesture but a concrete step toward impactful change in Nigeria’s technology industry.
The Founder and CEO of Abaa Technology and Solutions, Mr. Power Aden, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to formalize the partnership with NASRDA.
While reflecting on the productive discussions from the previous visit, he highlighted his enthusiasm for the collaboration’s promising potential to revolutionize the Nigerian Tech scene.
Mr. Aden explained that the partnership would focus on providing top-tier Information and Communication Technology (ICT) consultancy services, aligned with NASRDA’s mission.
He emphasized that with significant advancements in technology, Nigeria must shift from merely adopting foreign innovations to creating and developing its own, as the country has the capacity to thrive in the global technology space.
