Dr. Olakunle Rufus Oladosu (mNip, mNurs, mNimets, mUrsi_ng) holds a PhD in Physics (Atmospheric Physics option), from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, Nigeria in 2008. He was a lecturer at the Department of Physics, Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria until 2015. 

He joined the services of the National Space Research and Development agency in 2010, and was posted to the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he served as the Head of Postgraduate Programmes from June 2010 – January 2023. And also, He was a Deputy Director (Scientist) and, the Head of Atmospheric & Allied Sciences (Research & Development) of the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria from January 2023 to November, 2025 before his appointment as the Acting Director of the Centre for Space Life Sciences(CSLS),University of Ibadan on November 19th 2025.

He is a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Space Science and Engineering and the African University of Science & Technology, Abuja, Nigeria, and an Associate lecturer at the Department of Physics, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

In His Eighteen years of academic and research experience, he has over 60 research publications in his name. Dr Oladosu has made significant contributions both locally and internationally in his area of research. He has attended many national and international conferences and workshops. In pursuit of his research career, He has participated in a number national and international projects. To mention a few,  He participated in field research projects titled “In-situ and remote sensing measurements on Surface Energy flux exchanges during the Nigeria Micrometeorological Experiment (NIMEX – I & II)”, a coordinated measurements at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching and Research Farm, Ile-Ife, Nigeria from 2003 – 2008. He participated in the Global Monitoring of Environment (GMES) & Africa – Phase 1  project tagged  “Multi-Scale Flood Monitoring and Assessment Services (MiFMASS)” for West Africa  from 2018-2021. Currently, He is a member of a research project team on “Sustainable Management of Wetlands and Floods in West Africa (GDHZIAO)” of the GMES & Africa support programme – Phase II (2022 to 2025) set up by the African Union in partnership with the European Union .

He is the Nigeria, Coordinator for GEO-African incubator/Accelerator (GAIA) Innovation challenge (2025) who engaged over 40 students from 2 universities in Nigeria in EO/IoT/AI. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Nigeria Meteorological Society of Nigeria (NMS), Nigeria Geophysical Society (NGS), International Union of Radio Science (URSI-NG).
