Overview
The Legal Services Department at NASRDA is responsible for providing legal guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the agency’s intellectual property and contractual interests. It oversees the formulation of space laws, negotiates agreements, and represents NASRDA in legal matters at both national and international levels. The department ensures that all space-related activities align with Nigeria’s legal framework and international treaties governing space exploration and satellite operations.

- Space Law & Policy Development: Advises on the formulation and implementation of national space laws in alignment with international regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Ensures NASRDA adheres to local and global legal standards for space operations.
- Contract & Intellectual Property Management: Drafts and reviews agreements, patents, and intellectual property rights related to space innovations.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Represents NASRDA in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute settlements.
- International Space Treaties & Agreements: Facilitates compliance with global space governance, including UN space treaties and ITU regulations.
- Legal Advisory & Risk Management: Provides expert legal counsel on strategic decisions, partnerships, and risk mitigation in space activities.
