The Physical and Life Sciences Department at NASRDA conducts research in space-related physical and biological sciences to enhance scientific knowledge and technological applications. - Space Environment & Microgravity Research: Studies the effects of microgravity on materials, human physiology, and biological systems.
- Earth & Atmospheric Sciences: Conducts climate monitoring, weather pattern analysis, and environmental impact assessments using satellite data.
- Space Medicine & Biotechnology: Develops medical solutions for astronauts and explores the impact of space travel on human health.
- Materials Science & Nanotechnology: Investigates new materials for spacecraft construction, radiation shielding, and sustainable energy solutions.
- Astrobiology & Space Biosciences: Researches the possibilities of life beyond Earth and studies extreme environments as analogs for space habitats.
- Environmental & Ecological Studies: Utilizes remote sensing and GIS to monitor biodiversity, land degradation, and ecosystem changes.
