The Satellite Mission and Ground Station Management Department at NASRDA is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Nigeria’s satellites and ground station infrastructure. It ensures seamless communication with orbiting satellites, enabling data reception, telemetry tracking, and command execution. By managing satellite missions effectively, the department plays a crucial role in space-based research, national security, disaster response, and technological advancements.

- Satellite Operations & Control: Monitors and controls NASRDA’s satellites, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Ground Station Management: Maintains and upgrades ground-based infrastructure for satellite tracking, data reception, and communication.
- Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C): Oversees real-time tracking and command execution for satellite operations.
- Data Acquisition & Processing: Collects and processes satellite imagery and geospatial data for research and national applications.
- Satellite Health Monitoring: Ensures the continuous functionality and stability of satellites through diagnostics and maintenance.
- Mission Planning & Coordination: Designs operational strategies for upcoming satellite launches and collaborations with international space agencies.
