Dr. Bolarinwa Olutayo BALOGUN is a passionate personality with a deep sense of reasoning and an unwavering drive for excellence. He is a loyal and strong ally of positive and progressive minds. He has academic background in, Space Management from the International Space University (ISU), Strasbourg, France; Remote Sensing and GIS, from ITC, Enschede, the Netherlands, and ARCSSTE-E, Ife, Nigeria; Global Change and Sustainability, and United Nations System: Pressing Issues and Sustainable Solutions, from the United Nations University (UNU), Tokyo, Japan; and, Environmental Control and Management, as well as Ecology and Environmental Science, from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife, Nigeria. His career sojourn in the Nigerian Space Sector started with his employment in the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E), Ife, in 1998. Between 2012 and 2014, he worked at the National Centre for Remote Sensing, Jos, where he headed the Division of Agriculture and Settlement until his redeployment back to ARCSSTE-E. In ARCSSTE-E, he served as a Resource Person for teaching and research on the Centre’s postgraduate and master’s programmes in Remote Sensing and GIS applications. His administrative leadership experience includes the coordination of several scientific research teams and many other high-level official assignments in ARCSSTE-E. In 2024, he was promoted to the post of Director and subsequently appointed the Director of Atlantic International Research Centre (AIRC), NASRDA Headquarters, Abuja.
