The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has gained international applause for its impressive growth, expansive capabilities, and position in the global space arena.

Speaking in an interview with NASRDA’s Media Team, the Founder and CEO of Space Kidz India, Dr. Srimathy Kesan, commended the Director General and Chief Executive of NASRDA, Dr. Matthew Adepoju, for his visionary leadership and for his drive in the advancement Nigeria’s space programme.

Dr. Kesan added that Dr. Adepoju’s appointment was a well-considered decision, noting that his extensive experience in space exploration and his deep grounding in the field makes him a perfect fit for the role.

She expressed confidence that his expertise will play a vital part in the successful actualization of Nigeria’s space programme.

Dr Kesan emphasized that while some nations are slowing their space efforts, NASRDA’s DG is steering Nigeria with clarity, purpose, and decisive leadership that is accelerating the country’s space ambitions.

According to her, Space Kidz India has offered NASRDA a free 100-gram payload slot on a 2U communication satellite scheduled for launch in India next February.

She expressed delight at the strong presence of women within NASRDA, describing it as an inspiring sign of Nigeria’s growing commitment to women participation in STEM.

Dr. Kesan reaffirmed Space Kidz India’s commitment to a long-term collaboration with the Nigeria Space Agency, including discussions on potential joint development of rockets and satellites, adding that NASRDA’s welcoming environment, will continue to inspire young innovators and strengthen space cooperation between both nations.
