The Director General and Chief Executive, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has stated that the Agency will do all it takes to realize President Bola Tinubu’s vision of lifting 50 million Nigerians out of poverty.

Dr. Adepoju made this statement during the continuing phase of the NASRDA/Grassroots Bridge Builders (GBB) Skill Acquisition Development Project 2025, at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

Dr. Adepoju emphasized that Nigeria, as a country with over 50% of its population made up of youths, will immensely benefit from the project, noting that the initiative will transform the lives of participants as well as those of their families.

The NASRDA boss said the project, which aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, is a platform designed to equip Nigerian youths with skills to become future captains of industries.

He explained that the pilot project trained over 50 youths, but the goal is to train millions more over time as the initiative gains momentum and attracts more support.

The Director General, however, added that the training will extend to the grassroots, reaching both state and local government levels.

He encouraged participants to identify areas of skill acquisition and empowerment that interest them, so the project can be tailored to meet their needs and serve them to the fullest.

In his remarks, the National Chairman of GBB, who also serves as the National Chairman of the Tinubu Think Tank, Amb. Adewale Adeogun, stated that NASRDA is the best platform to galvanize and launch the skill acquisition program, pointing that the Director General of the Agency has proven himself to be a man of innovation and results.

He lauded NASRDA for being a worthy partner, stressing that the program, which is designed strictly for serious-minded participants, will not require anyone to pay any money, warning participants to beware of scammers who may try to exploit the initiative to defraud them of their hard-earned money.

According to him, the initiative will go down in history as one of the programs that reaffirms the president’s genuine intentions for the nation.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of GBB, Engr. Ibrahim Igoche, urged all participants to gear up to fully utilize the opportunities being offered to them and not take them for granted.

He reminisced on the personal sacrifices he, along with other members of the GBB team, had made to ensure the program came to fruition, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that should be seized and maximized.

Engr. Igoche also specially recognized the efforts of the DG NASRDA and other stakeholders, encouraging participants to play their part in ensuring the process runs smoothly.
