The Director General and Chief Executive, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has said the importance of intercontinental collaboration is key to fostering global peace and driving sustainable national development.

He made this statement while receiving delegates from the Embassy of the Argentine Republic during a courtesy visit at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

The NASRDA boss stressed that, strategic partnerships between nations are critical to advancing scientific innovation, strengthening diplomatic ties, and addressing shared global challenges.

He stated that Nigeria possesses vast potential in space technology, adding that the Agency is strengthening efforts to provide a supportive environment that enables scientists to contribute significantly to national development.

During his presentation, the DG outlined the Agency’s mandate and major accomplishments in advancing national development since its establishment, while assuring the delegation of NASRDA’s strong commitment and openness to future collaborations.

Earlier in his remarks, the Ambassador-Designate of the Argentine Republic, Mr. Nicolás Perrazo, explained that the delegation’s visit was aimed at gaining a better understanding of Nigeria’s initiatives and progress in space research and development.

He further noted that the delegation was identifying possible areas for future collaboration that would deliver mutual benefits to both countries.
