The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr Olayide Adelami has commended the Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency(NASRDA), Dr Matthew Olumide Adepoju on his strategic approach to good leadership in the Space Agency.

He was speaking when playing host to the NASRDA Boss on behalf of the State Executive Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa during Dr Adepoju official visit to the Sunshine State.

Mr Adelami was particularly impressed with the performance and various activities of NASRDA as outlined by the Director General.

He said the Space Agency is no doubt a special purpose vehicle for development in critical areas of human and societal development.

The Ondo Deputy Governor appreciated Dr Adepoju for his visit to the State, saying, the visit was a demonstration of love for the great people of Ondo State as well his desire towards the educational development of the State.

He therefore assured that the present administration in Ondo State will be willing to partner with NASRDA in any relevant areas for the overall development of the state.

The NASRDA Boss who thanked the Deputy Governor for the reception accorded him and members of his team told him of the purpose of his visit to the state.

This according to him was part of efforts to hold consultation with the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure on collaboration with the University in some critical areas of Space Science and Technology for the overall benefits of Nigerians.

Dr Adepoju kept the Deputy Governor abreast of the activities of the Space Agency, saying NASRDA is willing to assist and support the State government in its efforts towards good governance of the State.

The Director General was accompanied on the visit by some Directors in the Agency.
