About the department

The Physical and Life Sciences Department was established to fulfill one of the cardinal objectives of the agency as stipulated by the NASRDA Act (2010). The department also works towards achieving the 25yrs Road Map (2005) of the Nigerian Space Policy and Programme (NSPP). The department is saddled with the responsibility of carrying out research on exploration and exploitation of Space environment.

The Mandates of the Department

Coordinate and carry out research in all fields of space physical and life sciences. This includes:
