NASRDA BOSS CHARGES NIGERIAN YOUTHS FOR EXCELLENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Mathew Adepoju, has charged the Nigerian youth to embrace creativity as a strategic means to overcome the various economic challenges facing the country.

 The NASRDA boss gave this charge when he played host to a delegation from ilead Climate Action Initiative at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja. 

According to him, youths should consistently use their critical thinking skills to develop strategies for economic advancement, rather than participating in harmful activities that hinder societal growth and development. 

 Dr Adepoju who appreciated the giant strides of the foundation, describing its goals and objectives as very strategic to the policies and programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration, especially as it relates to Agricultural revolution and food security in the country. 

 He stated that the Agency is ready to engage in a result-oriented collaboration with the foundation to offer Geoinformation System training and capacity building, as well as resources to support the realization of an agricultural revolution in the country. 

 Speaking earlier, the founder and Chief Executive Officer, ilead Climate Action Initiative, Mrs Oladosu Adenike appreciated the Director General and his team for a warm reception which according to her, will continue to serve as a moral boost to the activities of her foundation.

 She added that her foundation is basically aimed at empowering youths and women, by bridging the gap in agricultural activities through interface with donor organisations for provision of loans and grants to aid their activities and operations.

 She also outlined some of the activities of her foundation to include but not limited to the monitoring of Lake Chad using GIS capabilities, advocacy and raising awareness on climate education, promotion of green democracy, promotion of Eco-feminism and intergenerational dialogue that is aimed at sensitizing parents and children on climate change issues and it’s effects on the society.
