The Director General and Chief Executive, National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, Dr Matthew Adepoju has stressed the need for collaboration with traditional institutions in identifying and harnessing natural resources for the development of the country.
He made this statement when he played host to the Ejeh Olamaboro, Kogi state, His Royal Highness, Ujah Sani Simon, at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.
The NASRDA boss who described Kogi State as a reservoir of natural resources , stressed the importance of working with stakeholders, such as traditional institutions, to devise strategies for utilizing these resources for the benefit of the people and the country.
He described the royal visit as timely and pledged the Agency’s support to the state in strategic areas that can advance the course of development and expand the revenue generating capacity of the government through result oriented engagements.
In his remark, the Ejeh Olamaboro, His Royal Highness, Ujah Sani Simon, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and congratulated the NASRDA Boss on his appointment describing him as an epitome of performance and accomplishment especially when entrusted with responsibilities.
He said that having known Dr. Adepoju for over two decades, he is confident in his ability to lead NASRDA in achieving its mandate and contributing to the socio-economic growth of the country.
The Monarch offered prayers for the Agency’s success and urged members of staff to work together in unity for the advancement of the Nigeria space program.
