ADEPOJU IDENTIFIES PRIVATE SECTOR AS CRITICAL TO SPACE DEVELOPMENT.

The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju has emphasized the importance of leveraging private sector expertise and resources to enhance the Space Agency’s initiative towards contributing significantly to national development. 

He stated this, when he played host to the Managing Director of Airbus Defence and Space Nigeria on a courtesy visit at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.

 Dr. Adepoju while highlighting NASRDA’s commitment to fostering partnerships with private enterprises to drive job creation and economic growth, noted that collaboration with private sector would not only improve the space capabilities but also stimulate wider economic benefits for the country. 

 The NASRDA Boss expressed gratitude for the visit and acknowledged the commitment of the Managing Director Airbus Defence and Space Nigeria to the success of Nigerian Space Program, adding that his contributions to the Agency is an evidence of his dedication to advancing the Space sector. 

 Dr. Adepoju further assures NASRDA’s willingness to partner with other relevant stakeholders that will drive innovation, improve technological capabilities and advance economic growth in the country.

 In his remarks, the Managing Director, Airbus Defence and Space Nigeria, Air Vice Marshal (RTD) Victor Udoh said his visit to the Space Agency is to congratulate the NASRDA Boss on his appointment and to again familiarize himself with the Agency. 

AVM Udoh who noted that NASRDA is critical to his organization, expressed their readiness to support the Space Agency in any capacity through the Nigerian Office to overseas.
