THERE IS NEED FOR INDEPENDENT POWER SUPPLY IN THE AGENCY… Adepoju

The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju has stressed the need for the Agency to have an independent power solution due to its strategic posture in the transformation of the Nigerian society. 

 He made this statement during a presentation on a proposed Independent Solar Hybrid Energy Solution for NASRDA by the Mutual Commitment Company (MCC) at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.

 The NASRDA Boss emphasized the importance of having a stable and independent power supply in the Agency considering its strategic role as a driving force in the advancement of space science and technology in the country. 

 Dr. Adepoju while commending the team from MCC for their efforts in the development of solar solutions for various institutions in the country, expressed delight over the presentation saying the Agency is ready to partner with the company to provide sustainable power within the space environment. 

According to him, the Space Agency under his watch will map out strategies on ensuring that the aim for this lofty project is achieved towards sustaining the Nigerian Space Programme. 

 In his presentation , the Chief Executive Officer of Mutual Commitment Company (MCC) Mr. Nick Wang, said the Solar Hybrid Energy Proposed Project aims at creating an actionable power solution which involves smart meter to provide a reliable and sustainable source of electricity to the leading Space Agency in Africa. 

 He explained that the company is proposing a solar solution which will be beneficial to the Agency, and that is cost effective, adding that the proposed timeline of completion is within twelve months.
